SIZING TIP:
The two most important factors when determining a suitable paddle length is a person's height and boat width.
Touring kayaks are longer and narrower than recreational kayaks, with paddles 230cm in length being the most common for single touring kayaks, and 240cm for doubles.
Some say a trend is developing towards shorter lengths, though experience and personal preference will eventually guide you in your decision.
Paddling style should also be considered: more aggressive paddlers tend to adopt a more vertical stroke and will often use a shorter paddle.
